Commissioner Richard Brough says prisoners should be used to pull weeds in the yard of the county jail and sidewalks to the side of the building, so it is not an eyesore.

"I have instructed Bob Day (county building custodian) not to do the work," said Brough. He said it was not Day's job.Don Eyre, Juab County attorney, said high school students had contracted to clean the property for citizen hours. Students must do community service work if they earn unsatisfactory hours at the school.

The students had not finished the project yet. However, said Eyre, prisoners will also be used to clear weeds.
