A six-month-long drug investigation culminated Friday night when about 35 officers from seven local and federal law enforcement agencies descended on a downtown Salt Lake bar and arrested 11 people.

The investigation of the Chances Bar, 917 S. State, begin when neighbors and local business people complained about the bar, said Lt. Bill Shelton, commander of the Metro Narcotics Unit.One arrest was for possession of approximately $800 in cocaine, the other 10 for investigation of having concealed weapons, intent to distribute concealed substances, possession of controlled substances and immigrations law and probation violations.

The participating agencies included the Metro Narcotics Unit, a division of the Salt Lake City Police Department, Salt Lake City Police, Salt Lake County sheriff deputies, Adult Parole and Probation, Immigration and Naturalization, Drug Enforcement Agency and Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
