Burglars are getting younger, but people are getting even - that's the conclusion Salt Lake police officers came to Thursday afternoon.

At 2:15 p.m. in the 500 block of North Main, an elderly woman was hysterical when two juveniles apparently forced their way into her apartment and began taking her belongings. But the two youths, 12 and 13, also became hysterical when the woman's son, 28, arrived home and confronted them.

One of the youths threatened to hit the man with a pipe, but the man responded by hitting him on the side of the head with a power-saw and chasing the other. The two youths were arrested, said Salt Lake Police Lt. Mark Zelig.
