Tickets for the 13th annual "Messiah" Sing-In are on sale at the Symphony Hall box office.
The tickets are $10 for reserved seats and $5 for general admission. This popular Christmas narrative, featuring four soloists with the Utah Symphony Chorus and Utah Chamber Orchestra, will be presented Sunday, Nov. 25, at 7:30 p.m.
This is the first year admission has been charged for the traditional event. The charge is due to rising production costs, said Bennett P. Peterson, chorus president.
The popularity of this presentation of Handel's "Messiah" is due - in part - to audience participation. The audience is invited to sing some parts along with the chorus.
The program is keyed in "G," and the Schirmer edition will be used.
The "Messiah" Sing-In is sponsored by the Deseret News and Utah Symphony Chorus.
