Blanche Fowkes Cloward, 80, passed away October 9, 1990 at her home.
Born March 19, 1910 in Nephi, Utah to John Leonard and Maud Hoyt Fowkes. She married Max Lavar Cloward September 10, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died September 16, 1985. She attended BYU. Member DUP, an avid genealogist, writing and researching over 20 histories. A Relief Society, Primary, and MIA President, Sunday School teacher, visiting teacher for over 35 years, and temple worker for 13 years. Preceded in death by son, Leonard and daughters-in-law, Linda and Beverly.Survived by children, Gordon Max and Gayle, Heber City; Raymond Lavar and Dorthy, Magna; Doris Ann and Hal Clark, Mnt. Lake Terrace, Wash.; two sisters, Lucille Holladay, Layton; and Olive Stanley, Orem; brother, Earl Fowkes, Mona; loving grandmother to 22 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., Spencer 3rd Ward, 8181 West 3320 South. Friends may call at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Payson City Cemetery.
