Don't have a cow, but Bart Simpson has been dragged into the California governor's race. The Republicans invoked the television cartoon character to chide Democratic candidate Dianne Feinstein for using crib notes during a Sunday debate with GOP candidate Pete Wilson. "If you're going to use crib sheets, man, use 'em right," Bart said in a statement written by the state GOP. Bart also offered pointers on what he considers better cheating methods, suggesting notes written on a shirt sleeve or taped to the inside of a shoe. Brad Turrell, a spokesman for Fox Television, which produces "The Simpsons," said the Republicans did not seek permission to use Bart's name or words but said it was unlikely the network would get involved in a lawsuit because of it.
