It took a bit of manpower to get a load of pumpkins to a Jordan Valley School classroom after students had made their selection from a pumpkin pile provided by Utah State Prison inmates. Steven Andrews, right, provided the push while Gordon Pocock, a physical therapist at the special education school, gave some guidance. The prisoners grew the hefty specimens behind a prison building and decided the special students at Jordan Valley would appreciate them most. The orange gourds were spotted around the lawn of the school, and the handicapped youngsters looked them over, took their pick and prepared to transform them into jack-o'-lanterns for the Halloween holiday.
