Mickey Smith, president and owner of Advance Reservations, a company that reserves all of Utah state and U.S. Forest Service campgrounds, has been appointed president of the Park City Chamber of Commerce/Convention and Visitors Bureau for a one-year term beginning July 1.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to become more involved with the chamber/convention bureau. There are a number of opportunities to expand the chamber/bureau's role in the community and to involve more people in the organization.In addition to Smith's appointment, five people were appointed for one-year terms to the chamber/bureau's executive committee.

They are Bill Coleman, Coleman Land Co., president-elect and vice president for member services; Joe Jafarian, the Yarrow, a vice president for meetings and conventions; attorney Gordon Strachan, vice president for economic development; Robbie Beck, McHugh-Park City Ski Area, vice president for marketing; and Hugh Daniels, Old Miner's Lodge, treasurer.
