President Ezra Taft Benson was moved out of intensive care Monday morning and into a regular room at LDS Hospital, where his condition was upgraded from serious to satisfactory.

Don LeFevre, a church spokesman, issued the report on the 91-year-old leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.President Benson has been in the hospital since Sept. 18. He has undergone two operations to remove blood clots from each side of his brain and has been treated for gastrointestinal bleeding.
