Health information classes for the general public are being sponsored by Intermountain Health Care during October and November. Classes include:

- Saturday, Oct. 13, "Tot Tending," popular class for youth, age 9 and older, 2-4 p.m., Cottonwood Hospital Center for Women's Health. Repeated Nov. 10. Cost is $3 per child.

- Saturday, Nov. 17, "Preparing Capable Kids," teaches children what to do in an emergency, 9-11:30 a.m., Cottonwood Women's Center. Free.

Alta View Hospital, 9660 S. 1300 East, is also offering "The Cholesterol Class," a two-part class on Tuesdays, Oct. 9 and 16, from 7-8:30 p.m. The cost is $20 a person and includes a cholesterol screen. Call 572-3112 to reserve a spot.
