Bud Whittaker

MILFORD, Utah-Arland Spencer "Bud" Whittaker, age 69, died October 3, 1990 in the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital.He was born May 21, 1921 in Salt Lake City; to Spencer and Clotiel Hansen Whittaker. Married Gladys Nay, May 9, 1945 in Milford, Utah; their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple in 1987. He was employed by the Union Pacific Rail Road for 45 years. Member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and American Legion, serving in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Union Pacific Old Timer's Club and also the LDS Church, serving the Milford 2nd Ward Bishopric. He served two terms in the Milford City Council. He loved the mountains and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family.

Survived by his wife, Gladys, Milford; five children, Bradley Spencer, Orem; Mrs. Ronald (Judy) Bailey, Santa Clara; Gary Thomas, Enoch; Larry K. and Mrs. Mark (Karen) Nelson, both of Milford; a brother Keith L., Diamond Valley; 21 grandchildren; he was preceded in death by a sister

Ardith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6, 1990 at 1 p.m. in the Milford LDS 2nd Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday 7-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services at the Olpin Mortuary in Milford. Interment Milford City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Milford Valley Memorial Hosptial, Milford, Utah 84751.
