The Peter Frey Accordion Orchestra, 35 professional accordionists now touring America from Switzerland, will highlight the annual concert of the Swiss Chorus Edelweiss on Saturday, Oct. 13.

The program begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Highland Park Auditorium, 1735 E. 2700 South. Tickets are $3.50.The first accordion orchestra to ever concertize in Salt Lake City, the Peter Frey group was established in 1962. It has won honors at two world festivals, competing with accordion orchestras from Europe and the Americas, has recorded widely, and toured France, Germany, Italy and other European countries.

The Swiss Chorus Edelweiss and its dancers, 50 strong, will sing and present yodeling, Alpine horn, children's chorus, and folk dancing. From the orchestra will come classical, semi-classical, popular American and Swiss folklore compositions, some of them arranged or composed by Peter Frey, founder and music director of the orchestra.

The public is welcome at this colorful event, with all participants in native Swiss costumes.
