Sandy fire investigators are still trying to determine what caused a Friday morning fire that caused $80,000 damage to an east Sandy home.

Firefighters were called to 10390 Dimple Dell Road just after 3 a.m. where they discovered the garage, kitchen and living room engulfed in flames. The rest of the house suffered extensive smoke and heat damage, said Capt. Todd Hyer. The house was vacant at the time, though a truck was parked in the garage where the fire started.
