The Little Theater of Jamestown, N.Y., which gave Lucille Ball her start on stage 60 years ago, will be renamed in her honor. Robert Ostrom, president of the theater, will put the name change before its board of directors, but the vote is considered a mere formality. Ball, a native of the Chautauqua County community of Celeron, not far from Jamestown, made her first stage appearance in 1930 in a play titled "Within the Law" at the Players Club in Jamestown, which was predecessor to the Little Theater. Formal dedication of the Lucille Ball Little Theater is scheduled for December, with the possibility of an appearance by Ball's daughter, Luci Arnaz.
