KCPX radio (FM-98.7) changed from a "Hit Radio" format to a "continuous favorites" format Thursday morning.
Previously known as "All New All Hit," the station is now using the simple nickname "K-98.7" and is playing a mixture of music from the '60s, '70s, '80s and the present.The station is boasting of a "real variety" in its music that is now being advertised as "one of a kind" among Salt Lake area radio formats.
KCPX is currently in the midst of playing 98 hours of continuous music throughout the weekend in order to introduce listeners to the new format.
The station no longer has "Mr. and Mrs. Uglee" in the morning drive time.
