Suspected leftist guerrillas detonated a bomb Friday at an LDS chapel in a working-class district south of Santiago, causing extensive damage but no injuries, police reported.

Police said four gunmen entered the chapel, in La Florida, and forced a guardian to leave before exploding the bomb.No one claimed responsibility immediately for the attack, but press reports blamed the Lautaro Front, a small leftist guerrilla gang that has taken responsibility for scores of similar attacks in the past.
