An Ohio couple remained hospitalized Thursday with injuries they received in a two-vehicle accident on Redwood Road at the I-215 offramp.
Charles Hartung, 57, and his wife Francis Hartung, 59, of Grove City, Ohio, were taken to the University of Utah Medical Center by AirMed helicopter Wednesday afternoon. Charles Hartung suffered head and chest injuries during the 4 p.m. accident, while his wife suffered shoulder and head injuries, the Utah Highway Patrol said.Both were in fair condition Thursday, according to a hospital spokesman.
A southbound pickup truck driven by Howard Steward, 51, of Springville, collided with the eastbound Hartung van, causing the van to flip, UHP troopers said. Steward was taken to Lakeview Hospital, where he was treated and later released.
