The northern spotted owl and its relation to the old-growth timber controversy in the Pacific Northwest will be the focus of a series of lectures in the Utah State University College of Natural Resources during the fall and winter quarters.
The series is sponsored by the S.J. and Jessie E. Quinney Foundation Visiting Scholar Program. Beginning Oct. 8, speakers with expertise on the many sides of the complex natural-resource issue will visit the USU campus.The lectures will be held at night to provide opportunity for a wide audience to participate and all lectures are free and open to the public.
