Thomas Louis Carrillo, Jr., age 39, died Oct. 3, at the University of Utah Medical Center.
Born May 16, 1951, in East Carbon, son of Thomas G. and Bertha Duran Carrillo. Member, Catholic Church. Resident of Salt Lake City, Arizona and California. Thomas was an instructor of nursing at various colleges and institutions. A graduate of the College of Eastern Utah, Utah Technical College, Westminster College, and University of Utah. Thomas attended Arizona State University, Stanford University, and studied abroad in China. He loved all phases of the medical field. He enjoyed running, swimming, dancing and reading. He was a collector of books, music and watches.Survived by: Mother, Bertha Carrillo, East Carbon; three brothers, one sister and their spouses, Juan Carrillo, Menlo Park, Calif.; Mrs. Ralph (Gloria) Ruiz, Salt Lake City; Mark and Alayne Carrillo, Price; Leonard Carrillo, Salt Lake City; two nieces, Jennifer and BreAnn Ruiz, Salt Lake City; preceded in death by father and grandparents.
Funeral mass Saturday, 10 a.m., at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in East Carbon. Vigil service Friday evening, 7 p.m., Mitchell Chapel, where friends may call Friday prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
