Mary Ellen Forbes Chadwick, 44, died October 2, 1990 at her parents home in Alpine, Utah, of cancer.

She was born May 27, 1946 in Salt Lake City to Fred H. and Inez Peacock Forbes. She married John D. Chadwick May 6, 1966 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was raised in Alpine and attended school in American Fork where she excelled in sports. She also attended Utah Technical College in Provo as a nursing student. She worked on the school lunch program in Ogden at Lewis Elementary, and was the manager of the lunch program at Central High and Ogden High Schools. She then became the Kitchen Supervisor at the Deseret Industries in Ogden where she worked until a few weeks before her death. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in the Relief Society, Primary and M.I.A. Her happiest days were sending two boys on missions.She is survived by her husband, John Chadwick, three sons; John Alfred, Blaine Forbes, Gordon B., all of Ogden, and a daughter, De Ellen; and her parents, all of Alpine. Other survivors are Clarence Ward, Lehi; Wanda McElery, Texas; James Ward, Pleasant Grove; Jenny Smith, Oregon.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, 12 Noon, Ogden 67th Ward, 1550 Rushton Street. Friends may call at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church 10:30-11:45 a.m. Burial in the Alpine City Cemetery.
