Southeast Emergency Center, 1950 E. 7000 South, will be giving flu shots during October between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Cost is $10. This year the flu vaccine covers the A/Taiwan, A/Shanghai, and B/Yamagata strains.

Flu vaccine is recommended for anyone over 6 months of age, who is at increased risk of complications of influenza, including people 65 years or older, those with chronic heart and lung disorders, including asthma, those with diabetes and kidney disease, and those who are immune-compromised. Immunization is also recommended for those caring for, or living with, high-risk individuals.
