Tuition for Brigham Young University students next year will be an even $1,000 per semester for undergraduate students, $1,170 for advance-standing students and $1,890 for law school and graduate school of management students.
BYU Administrative Vice President Dee F. Andersen said the new rates, as approved by the BYU Board of Trustees, reflect the cost-of-living index. The rates represent a 5.3 percent increase for undergraduates, 5.4 percent for advance-standing students and 5.6 percent for law and graduate school of management students.Andersen said that the "Money Guide" to America's best college buys recently listed BYU as No. 4 among private colleges for value in education. He said that even with next year's tuition increase the ranking probably will remain about the same.
