Two members of the Intermountain Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) have been named to the organization's College of Fellows.

Parry D. Sorensen, a professor of communication at the University of Utah, and Jack M. Reed, a public affairs specialist, are among the 59 new College of Fellows members chosen this year from the society's national membership of 14,983."By electing Parry and Jack, PRSA colleagues have paid tribute to their years of distinguished service to the public relations profession, as well as to the Public Relations Society itself," said Elese Adams, president of the Intermoun-

tain Chapter.

The new Fellows will be honored at a Nov. 4 inaugural dinner in New York City.

Sorensen, a past PRSA president, organized the University of Utah's public relations department in 1946. He was president and board chairman of the American College Public Relations Associations from 1969-71 and was named outstanding educator by PRSA in 1986.

Reed, a member of PRSA since 1977, served as public affairs officer for the Utah office of the Bureau of Land Management from 1984-87. Prior to that he was a public affairs specialist at the BLM national headquarters in Washington D.C.
