Roy Lynn Hardwick, 82, died September 29, 1990 at his home in Midvale.

Born August 12, 1908 in Iona, Idaho to George Samuel and Emeline Larson Hardwick. Married Verle Peterson in Rock Springs, Wyoming on October 2, 1937. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 7, 1966.He was a High Priest in the LDS Church, and was active in Scouting. Avid sportsman, loved fishing and hunting and the mountains. Accomplished artist and teacher of art. Much of his art is displayed throughout the state. Past member of Intermountain Artists Society. Master machinist with Galigher Equipment Co. for 20 years. Loved children, animals and nature.

Survived by his wife, Verle, Midvale; daughters and son, Karol (Carl Lee) Harlan, Warrensburg, Missouri; Vawna Kay (Gary) West, Rexburg, Idaho; Danny Lynn (Patti) Hardwick, Taylorsville; Terri Foltz, Salt Lake City; 26 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry L., Salt Lake City; Glen O., Mt. Pleasant; sister, Beulah Jones, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by a son, Robert Lynn, who died in infancy; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 3, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the Midvale 1st Ward Chapel, 465 - 6th Ave. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Tuesday 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
