Weber Basin Job Corps, Ogden, tied for fourth place in the first multiregional Job Corps Academic Olympics in Ogden recently.
Twelve teams of students participated in the competition, representing regions 7 and 8.Top teams were from Mingo Center, Puxico, Mo., first; Pine Ridge Center, Chadron, Neb., second; Collbran Center, Colo., third; and Weber Basin tied for fourth with Denison Center, Iowa.
Members of the Weber Basin team are Mindi Hollings, Kamas; Aleeca Kay, Nephi; Mason Martin, Helena, Mont.; and Rich Jacob, Kamas. Craig Hasty, Parowan, is the alternate and Karen Palmer the coach.
The team will participate in national competition Oct. 24-25 in Washington, D.C.
