Evan George Black, 81, died September 29, 1990.
Born March 15, 1909 in Antimony, Utah to George King and Sarah Lucile Snow Black. Married Thalia Baird October 7, 1931 in the Manti LDS Temple. She died February 22, 1986. Owner and operator of Rite-Way Cleaners in the Granite Park area for 40 years. A Salt Lake Temple worker, music lover, piano player and composer. A man without a selfish thought.Survived by eight children, Mrs. Eugene (Eva) Graf, Great Barrington, Mass.; Peter Dale Black, South Salt Lake; Beverly Black, Ann Arbor, Mich.; Richard Evan Black, Portland, Conn.; Mrs. Don (Karen) Bushman, Pocatello, Idaho; George K. Black, Salt Lake City; Susan R. Black, Helper; Thalia Ann Black, Holladay; 52 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Johnson; and Lydia Black, both South Salt Lake; Mrs. Louie (Reva) Bengochea, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Walter (Lucile) Brooks, Murray.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., October 3, 1990, in the Holladay 4th Ward, 4917 South Viewmont St. (2085 East). Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and at the ward Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Funeral directors, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
