Lester L. Binning, 77, passed away September 29, 1990 at his home.
Born in Cora, Wyoming August 13, 1913, son of Henry and Maude Westfall Binning, Sr. Married Agnes Son in Wyoming in 1934; she died. Married Grace Taylor in 1962; she died. Married Lois Hunt Poulson January 9, 1978 in Elko, Nevada. Ranched with family in Wyoming. Owned a farmed in Utah County. Was a well driller, the greater share of his life. He drilled large municipal wells for city and park services. Worked Denver & Rio Grande RR. Veteran WW II, he served in the South Pacific, U.S. Navy. He was owner/operator of Binning drilling Co. of Fairview and Payson.Survived by wife; four children, Roger and Mark Poulson, both Fairview; Mrs. Jake (Joan) Olsen, Ephraim; Mrs. Bruce (Gean) Guymon, Moroni; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Alva (Bessie) Friesen; Mrs. James (Opal) Smith, Culver, Oregon; Mrs. Melvin (Ann) Gurney, Pinedale, Wyo.; Mrs. Jessie Whitten, Oregon. Preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Bill Binning and one granddaughter.
Funeral services Wednesday, October 3, 1 p.m., Walker Mortuary, Payson, Utah, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Payson City Cemetery under direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home. Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars District #4 Honor Guard.
