Utah aerospace companies Thiokol Corp. and Hercules Inc. have received Air Force contracts totaling $128 million to build Peacekeeper rocket motors, Rep. James Hansen, R-Utah, said Friday.

Thiokol, headquartered in Ogden, Utah, will receive more than $76 million for 12 first-stage Peacekeeper rocket motors; while Hercules, based in Magna, will receive nearly $54 million for 12 Peacekeeper third-stage motors, Hansen said."Both awards are additions to previous contracts, with the money being obligated in full as of today," Hansen said.
