Immigration officials searching for foreign terrorists raided a shelter sponsored by the Catholic church in the Rio Grande Valley Thursday night, arresting 35 people, federal officials.

As an Immigration and Naturalization Service helicopter flew overhead, an estimated 25 federal agents presented a search warrant and entered the Casa Romero shelter about 6 p.m. saying they were looking for 21 illegal aliens from India, witnesses said."Because of the situation in the Middle East, we had information there was an Iranian in the group. Obviously, we were concerned," said Silvestre Reyes, chief of the South Texas Border Patrol office.
