Two new Bureau of Land Management district managers have been selected to serve in the Cedar City and Richfield districts.

Gordon R. Staker and Jerry W. Goodman will replace Morgan S. Jensen and Donald L. Pendleton, who both retired earlier this year.Staker, who has been assigned to manage the Cedar City District, is currently serving as chief of the Branch of Biological Resources in the Oregon State BLM office. He previously has served as area manager in both the Cedar Resource Area and the Escalante Resource Area in Southern Utah.

"I have a great love for the people and the land in southern Utah," said the Mt. Pleasant native. "I'm excited to be involved in the multiple use management of these special resources. They are some of the most scenic and diverse lands in the entire nation."

Goodman will manage the Richfield district. He is currently serving as district manager in the Salmon District Office in Idaho and has been in Salmon since 1978. He has also served as an area manager in Raw-lins, Wyo.
