Pachyderm parade Fifteen Indian elephants arrive at the Rio Grande depot. When elephants walk the streets of Salt Lake City, you know that either Hogle Zoo had a big-time breakout or it must be circus time. As is traditionally the case about this time of year, the elephants signaled the start once again of the "Greatest Show on Earth." The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus opened Wednesday at the Salt Palace. The elephants made their traditional march (complete with police escort) from the train depot to the Salt Palace, each holding the tail of the elephant in front. The circus continues through Monday.
