Mona Town Board members and Juab School District representatives reached an agreement to complete a ball park next to the Mona Elementary School.
Verl Wilkey drew up a plan several years ago for the installation of the sprinkling system and the school district purchased pipe, but the system was never completed.Under the old agreement, the school district was to have supplied materials to install a sprinkling system and plant grass on the field, located just south of the Mona school. The town board agreed the town would supply the labor.
The system will be working by Oct. 15. The board also agreed to install a water meter at the school with the school being allowed 100,000 gallons per month before a penalty charge is levied.
