Franklin Lufkin Davenport, 87, of Provo, died Tuesday, September 25, 1990 in Provo, Utah.
Born October 31, 1902 at Logan, Utah to Franklin Remington and Kate Naomi Lufkin Davenport. Married Lovenia Ellen Miller on May 23, 1928, Salt Lake Temple. She died March 30, 1974. Married Mildred Lange, August 25, 1975 in Salt Lake City; marriage later solemnized in the Provo Temple. Worked as letter carrier for the Post Office 32 years. Active member of LDS Church. Stake Clerk for 15 years and Temple worker, avid genealogist.Survivors: wife, Provo; three sons, Howard and Edmund, both Orem; Byron, Bountiful; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Alice) Wright, Springville; step-children, Robert Lange, Salt Lake City; Cynthia Hendrix, Springfield, Virginia; Fran Hedgspeth and Becky Curtis, both of Salt Lake; 40 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three brothers, four sisters; preceded in death by one brother, one sister, one grandson, one great-grandson.
Funeral 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Pioneer 2nd Ward, 450 No. 1220 West, Provo. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 85 East 300 South, Provo and at the Church 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial: Provo City Cemetery.
