With training camp in Calgary over, the first group of Golden Eagle players started arriving in Salt Lake Tuesday.
But exactly who will be playing for Salt Lake is still up in the air."Calgary is having a very competitive camp," said Golden Eagle second-year Coach Bob Francis. "They're taking a long look at some people and that means we won't have our final roster filled until after their last preseason game (Saturday)."
Local workouts begin Friday at 10 a.m. at the Cottonwood Ice Arena (7500 South, 2700 East). Other workouts will be Saturday at 6 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m., Monday at 10 a.m. and Tuesday at 10 a.m. The team will move to the Salt Palace Wednesday for workouts prior to the season opener.
The Eagles open the season Oct. 5 in San Diego and play again the following night. Their home opener will be Oct. 10, also against San Diego. Individual game tickets are on sale at the Salt Palace and at Smithtix.
