Claude A. "Swede" Clark, age 72, died Monday, September 24, 1990 at Dixie Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born April 30, 1918 at Grantsville, Utah to Sidney G. and Ethel May Anderson Clark. He married Maxine Williams, September 30, 1942 at Preston, Idaho; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Reared and educated in Grantsville, Mr. Clark moved to Salt Lake City in 1955 and to Washington, Utah in 1982. He was a truck driver all of his life and drove for Steven Wade Cadillac after moving to Washington. He was an active member of the LDS Church, having served as Elder's Quorum president and ward clerk. His hobby was woodworking.Surviving family members include his wife, Maxine, Washington, Utah; one son, two daughters, Tony Clark, Stansbury Park, Utah; Mrs. Stan (Louise "Lou") Willis, Sandy, Utah; Mrs. Jerry (Lee "Trudy") Marsden, St. George, Utah; also 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, one sister, Saul A. Clark, Grantsville, Utah; Mrs. Bea Brinton, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Funeral services Thursday, September 27, 1990 at 8 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., where friends may call from 7-8 p.m. prior to services. Additional services will be held Saturday, September 29, 1990 at 1 p.m. at the Grantsville LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 80 No. Church, where friends may call from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment: Grantsville City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
