Hagan R. Johnson, age 83, died September 24, 1990, Payson, Utah, from pneumonia resulting from an auto accident a week ago.

He was born June 27, 1907, Spanish Fork, Utah, the son of Sigurdur and Hannah Arnasson Johnson. He married Madge Angus, January 30, 1934 at Spanish Fork, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. She died June 2, 1968. He received his education in Spanish Fork schools and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He was employed by Delmonte Corporation as a maintenance foreman for 30 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of the LDS Church and had served as secretary of the High Priest Quorum and assistant ward clerk. He was a member of the Icelandic Association of Utah. He loved gardening and landscaping.He is survived by two sons and two daughters, Hagan Dennis Johnson, Spanish Fork, Utah; W. Brent Johnson, Sandy, Utah; Arlene J. Huff, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. James (Karolyn) Nelson, Dallas, Texas; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Max (Woody) Johnson, Spanish Fork, Utah.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 28th, 11 a.m., at the Spanish Fork Fifth LDS Ward Chapel, 1006 East 200 South. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Huff-Linde Funeral Home Spanish Fork, Utah, and at the Fifth Ward Chapel, Friday 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
