A 14-year-old girl took revenge on two playmates by inviting them to a picnic and serving them a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and grape drink laced with poison, police say. Neither youngster was seriously hurt.

The girl told friends she got the idea of putting rat poison in the sandwich from the movie "Heathers," an R-rated black comedy featuring teenage murder and a tight clique of popular girls, King County police said.Detectives were awaiting results of food tests before deciding whether to seek criminal charges in juvenile court.

An 11-year-old girl had a stomach ache after taking several bites of the sandwich and a 9-year-old vomited after sipping the drink, police said.
