Ivy Streeper Carr, age 82 died September 22, 1990 in Bountiful, Utah.
Born July 1, 1908 in Centerville, Utah to Herbert Rex and Voila Rosetta Smith Streeper. Married Cecil A. Carr on August 18, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduate of Davis High School. Attended the University of Utah and Heneger's Business College. Worked part time clerking at ZCMI, Auerbach's, Paris; office at Utah Poultry Producers Assoc., Family Service Soc., Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. Worked full time at Intermountain Assoc. Credit Men, as Doctor's receptionist, Carr Printing Co., Professional Printing Co.and kept books for Printing Industry of Utah Credit Union. Active member of the LDS Church. Primary counselor, chorister, teacher; Mutual secretary, ward and stake dance instructor, Beehive and Gleaner teacher; Relief Society Secretary, Counselor, chorister, Visiting Teacher; ward choir. Member of the Centerville Literature, Music and Art Club. Loved gardening, nature, handwork and people.Survived by her husband, Centerville; sons and daughters, Blaine S. Carr and Alex P. Carr of Centerville, Lowell C. Carr and Mrs. William L. Jorgensen (Leslie), Bountiful, Mrs. Gary A. Ward (Maurine), Hyrum; 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; twosisters, Dorothy Streeper and Mrs. Raymond A. Gwynn (Rosabelle) Centerville. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Herbert Cecil and Rex Smith Streeper and one sister, Mrs. W. Lamoni Carr(Carmen)
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon on Thursday, September 27,1990 in the Centerville Nineteenth Ward, 900 South 400 East, Centerville. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward on Thursday from 11:00-11:45 prior to the services. Interment: Centerville City Cemetery.
