An Ogden man was stabbed to death early Sunday after a fight broke out in downtown Salt Lake City.

Lorenzo Thompson, 28, 3545 Porter St., Ogden, was fatally stabbed in the chest at 2:28 a.m. after he and two friends were involved in an argument at 126 S. West Temple. The argument escalated into a brawl. Thompson was pronounced dead at Holy Cross Hospital, according to a news release issued by Salt Lake Police Sgt. Ron Millard.One man, a 20-year-old airman from Hill Air Force Base, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of criminal homicide, according to Lt. Norm Thompson.
