Marlon Andrus, a former bank manager who taught a telecourse at Salt Lake Community College last year, is teaching a new class, "Personal Financial Planning" and repeating a class, "Personal Finance," that he taught last year.
The new class will begin Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 5:15 p.m. and continue each Tuesday and Thursday through the quarter. College officials say the class is an action-oriented decision-making class with such topics as tax planning, tax reform, preserving your estate, meeting retirement goals, use of personal computers, changes in financial institutions, cash budgets and management of debts and assets.Tuition for the class is $168 for four credit hours.
Andrus' "Personal Finance" telecourse will be repeated with some revisions over KULC, Channel 9, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. and continuing every Tuesday and Thursday through the quarter. The tuition is $168.
