Nevada's oldest and largest brothel, The Mustang Ranch, will be sold and proceeds from the sale will be used to help pay off the owner's multimillion-dollar tax debt, officials said Saturday.

"We will sell it," said Ron Smith, chief of special projects for the IRS in Las Vegas. Nevada's first legal bordello will be sold as real property, not as a brothel, he added. As a result, the value of the 105-room business probably will drop considerably from the $5 million that owner Joe Conforte's attorneys contend it is worth.
