Lola Stuewe passed away at home September 21, 1990 after a long courageous battle with a rare lung disease. Her staunch spirit and good humor remained with her to the end.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas September 30, 1943 to James Robert Caldwell and Jesse Mary Bierbower Caldwell. She attended schools in Texas, New Mexico, Panama and Salt Lake City. Somewhere she developed a great love of art, poetry, painting, and Teddy Bears. She had a wonderful collection of them and frequently entertained young relatives with stories of their exploits.Lola worked for a while at Wolfe's Sporting Goods store in advertising. She shared her talents by teaching advertising at Salt Lake Community College.

She loved fine foods and became a marvelous cook. She was a lifetime member of the DAR, and served in all positions at the West Valley ITC (Toastmistress).

She married William Stuewe, Jr. on September 8, 1973 and traveled extensively with him to see all her friends and relatives and the country she loved.

She is survived by her husband, Salt Lake City; sister, Jesse; niece Carrie and nephew, Kenny from Anaheim, California.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Monday, September 24, at St. Pauls, corner of 9th East and 3rd South. Friends may call Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Evans & Early, 574 East 100 South.
