Robert James McNally Sr.,75, passed away September 21, 1990 inSalt Lake City, Utah.

Born April 25, 1915 in Plattsburg, New Yorkto James and Bertha M. De Garmo McNally. Married Lillian Smock in 1942.He graduated from the University of New Hampshire as a chemical engineer. Member and Fellow of the National AICHE since 1952. Founder and member of local chapter of AICHE and member of the council from 1961-1963. He worked for General Chemical Co. of Wilmington, Delaware. In 1952 he moved to SLC to work for American Smelting and Refining Co. He was vice president of sales of sulfuric acid at Kennecott Copper until his retirement. Founding member of Willow Creek Country Club. Moderator of First Congregational Church in 1984. His interests included gardening, church and his family.

Survived by his wife, children: Sandra Sha and husband Jerry, Robert J. McNally Jr. and wife Rose, James Earl McNally and wife Anne, grandchildren: Kiley, Ian, Aaron, all of Salt Lake City, sister: Alyce Haggert of Penacook, New Hampshire.

Memorial services will be held 2 P.M. Tuesday September 25,1990 at the First Congregational Church, 2150 Foothill Blvd., SLC. Family suggests contributions be made to the First Congregational Church.
