Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, George Henry Mills, at the age of 78, passed away peacefully in a local hospital.

Born November 29, 1911, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of George A. and Margaret Anderson Mills. He was raised in Salt Lake City, joined the Marines and served his country in the Pacific Theater in WW II, then settled in Oregon for nine years (Klamath Falls & Eugene); from Oregon, he took his family to Appleton, Wisconsin, where he resided until moving back to Salt Lake City in 1977. George married Geneveve Andersen, but was later divorced. He then married Genevieve Rosemary Storm, who preceded him in death in September, 1979. In 1983, he married Caren Carson Bradford. All of these marriages were solemnized in the LDS Temple.George was in Sales and Sales Management all of his life. He was a member of the Elk's Club. He was also a very active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings over the years, including being a High Councilman and Branch President in Appleton when the first LDS Chapel was constructed. George was very athletic and competitive He enjoyed golf and was a prominent tennis player, winning several tournaments and even teaching tennis for several years. He also enjoyed Ballroom Dancing, which is how he met Caren. George was a gentle person with a sparkling sense of humor and a flair for poetry, who will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife Caren, Salt Lake City; a daughter, Marlene Pincock, Santa Anna, CA; three sons, Gary George and Ronald Charles Mills, both of Salt Lake City and George William Mills, Alpine, UT; a stepson, Jared Bradford, also Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Brent George.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 25th, 12:00 noon, in the East Mill Creek Eleventh Ward, 2702 East Evergreen Ave. (3425 So.), with Bishop Gilbert Scharffs officiating. Friends may call Monday evening from 7 to 8 at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, and at the church on Tuesday from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
