Our kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, Oral Vernard Forsyth, age 80, died September 21, 1990 in Richfield, Utah.
Born April 13, 1910 in Thurber, Utah, son of Neil and Jane Coleman Forsyth. Married Emma Joy Rasmussen December 2, 1934 in Bicknell, Utah; marriage solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple March 19, 1936. He retired from GarKane Power Co after 16 years. He worked as custodian at Wayne High School for 9 years. He was a rancher and farmer. Active member of the LDS Church, he served as Bishops counselor in the Thurber Ward and in numerous other callings. He and his wife Joy, served a mission as temple ordinance workers in the Manti Temple, May 77-September, 81.Survived by wife, Bicknell; children, Neil R. and Anna Mae, Reno, Nev.; Keith O. and Ramah, West Jordan; Don V. and Bonnie; Gwen and Skip Nielsen, all West Valley City; Carolyn and Kenneth Turner, Helper; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Fawn) Fordam, Taylorsville; Mrs. Edward (Neola) Kresser, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Anthony (Irene) Corbone, Port St. Lucie, Flor. Preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis; granddaughter, LeAnn; and a great-granddaughter, Heidi Williams.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, at 12 noon, in the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel in Bicknell, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Bicknell Cemetery under the direction of the Springer-Turner Funeral Home of Richfield.
