Alta Ross Alger, age 85, of Provo, died Thursday, in Holy Cross Hospital.
Born March 16, 1905 in Antimony, daughter of Daniel T. and Elizabeth Ann King Ross. Married Don Lyle Alger, November 4, 1924 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death in 1943. She attended Piute County schools. Had been employed at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, working in Central Supply, until her retirement in 1970. Active member of the LDS Church, and had served as a temple worker. Member DUP, and enjoyed quilting and writing.Survived by two sons, one daughter, Ross L. Alger, Salt Lake; Kenneth B. Alger, Everett, Wash.; MarRene Moulton, Salt Lake; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister, Culbert Ross, Redwood City, Calif.; Thora R. Whittington, Oroville, Calif. Preceded in death by two sons, Dex and Gary, five brothers, two sisters.
Funeral services, noon, Tuesday, in the Provo 3rd Ward Chapel, 376 North 700 West, Provo. Friends may call Monday evening 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 85 East 300 So., Provo, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial, Provo City Cemetery.
