Beloved husband, father, grandfather, Henry Vernon Hall, 90, passed away September 21, 1990.
Born April 4, 1900, Rockville, Utah to Alfred Lorenzo Hall and Julia Hansen Hall. Married Luetta McAllister August 30, 1923 in the LDS St. George Temple. She passed away September 3, 1933. He married Eleanor McAllister November 27, 1933. Solemnized in the LDS St. George Temple, December 27, 1934.Vernon was a High Priest in the LDS Church. He filled a mission with his wife Eleanor to the Pennsylvania Harrisburg Mission from 1975-77. He served on the High Council in the South Summit Stake. Vernon was a scouter and $-H leader. Always a boys man. He introduced artificial insemination into the dairy herds of Summit County, one of the first in the state. On his ranch in Summit County, he followed his first love by producing his own herd of Purebred Columbia Sheep. He produced a ram that won Reserve Champion at the National Show in the Cow Palace in San Francisco.
In 1960 he retired from teaching and sold his ranch to become a professional genealogist. In that capacity, he visited 47 of the states in the US, some of them several times. He made 16 trips to Great Britain. He published six Family Books of his own and aided many clients in producing their family stories.
Survived by wife, Eleanor Hall, Salt Lake City; sons, Howard G. and Raona R. Hall, Yuba City, Calif.; Charles M. and Frankie Jane Hall, Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 24, 1990, 11 a.m., at the Butler 1st Ward, 7075 South 2245 East. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East 7600 South, Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the Hurricane City Cemetery.
