Myra Knight Seethaler, age 65, passed away September 20, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah, as a result of a heart attack.

She was born June 17, 1925 in Provo, Utah the daughter of John and Maude Adams Knight. She married Joseph A. Seethaler, February 14, 1968, in Provo, Utah. She graduated from Provo High School, attended B.Y.U. and graduated from the University of Utah, with a degree in English Literature. She was an accomplished poet and her poetry has been published through-out the United States and Canada. She has received numerous awards for poetry excellence. She was employed by Morton Thiokol Inc. for many years as an executive secretary and after moving to Provo, Utah became vice-president of Seethaler Meats. She was a member of the LDS Church and received her temple endowments. She was also a member of the Utah State Poetry Society.She is survived by her husband, Provo, Utah; three sons and one daughter, Jeffrey and Jonathan Butler, Bountiful, Utah; Brett Butler, Midvale, Utah; Mrs. David (Julie) Crandall, Pittsburg, California; and by the children of her husband, Joseph A. Seethaler, including Mark Seethaler, Sandy, Utah; four brothers and three sisters, Dr. Joseph A. Knight, Salt Lake City, Utah; Harold Knight, Cleveland, Ohio; Jeff Knight, Alameda, California; Phil Knight, Tyler, Texas; Mrs. Sam (June) Forbes, Barstow, California; Mrs. Beth Townsend, Midvale, Utah; and Mrs. Russ (May) Mast, Costa Mesa, California; 20 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 24, 1990, in the Edgemont 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 3050 Mojave Lane, Provo, Utah, 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Provo City Cemetery under the direction of Huff-Linde Funeral Home, Spanish Fork, Utah.
