Lenna Daniels Hone, 88, died Monday, September 17, 1990 in Ogden of sudden cardiac arrest.
She was born September 4, 1902 in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Daniel M. and Catherine E. Owens Daniels. She married George Ted Hone on May 10, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1980. She attended school in Malad, Idaho, where she graduated from high school. She received her teaching certificate at Pocatello, Idaho. She had taught school for one year prior to her marriage. She was a member of the LDS Church, and had served many years as chorister in the Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School. She had served on the Mt. Ogden Primary Stake Board. She had served as President of the Ogden High School PTA. She was president and member of the Altruist Club. Member of Camp G, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Member of the K-Annes and had served as president of the Ogden Golf and Country Club Ladies Association. She was the President of Hone Investment Co. and was a board member of Lindquist's Washington Heights Cemetery Association.Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Carl J. (Kathryn) Baird, Ogden; Mrs. Richard E. (Opal) Danley, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ronald H. (Georgia) Erickson, Ogden; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren; also surviving are her twin sister, Mrs. Lona Bush, Boise, Idaho and sister, Mrs. Pearl Thomas, Downey, California; preceded in death by a daughter, Margene, four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Ray B. Nelson of the Ogden 74th Ward officiating. Friends may call at the Mortuary Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment: Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park.
