Guardian State Bank is relocating its Cottonwood Branch from 6890 S. Highland Drive to 2011 E. Blackstone Road effective Monday, Sept. 24, and Marilyn Kehl will continue to serve as manager.

This is Guardian's fourth branch, the others being at 142 E. 200 South, 3856 W. 5400 South and 140 W. 9000 South. It was founded by Dan Mercer in 1981 with $2 million in assets and has grown to a $37 million bank.Guardian will continue to offer free personal checking and Saturday banking with more emphasis on personal customer attention, Kehl said. The new 2,800 square-foot building will have additional drive-up banking and easier entrance and exit points.
